While coach Marc Greig wants the win, this is not the reason.
Greig wants to come out on top for the same reason he does every round because winning is the objective every week. So if a victory means not finishing on the bottom, he sees it as an added bonus
He said the first focus would be on getting a strong start.
Greig said the Selkirk Roosters’ two wins for the year had featured five-goal opening quarters.
He said they had paid the price whenever they had failed to take early opportunities, so getting out of the blocks smartly would be imperative in their pursuit of a second win over Frankston for the season.
Greig said it was all about breaking it down to quarter-by-quarter and ensuring North Ballarat built scoreboard pressure.
Matt Eagles appears set to play despite breaking a finger in a midweek mishap with weights in the gym.
Greig said Eagles had been in some discomfort, but was determined to play.
