After losing AFL-alignment with North Melbourne this season, 2016 was always going to be a year largely dedicated to development.
Coupled with a lengthy injury list there has been ample opportunity for youngsters to get a taste of VFL football.
North Ballarat will look to bring in some experienced and classy players over the off-season to bridge the gap between its older heads and plethora of youth.
“Everyone wants to win the premiership but the reality is it doesn’t happen. We know where we’re at as a whole group,” Greig said.
“We need four to six players that are 23 to 25 that have played senior football. They don’t have to be VFL players, just good, honest players – that are highly skilled would be handy.
“If we can get another one or two on each line, it sharpens everything up.”
Greig indicated the need for key position players but more exact list management decisions would become clearer in the coming months.
