A Roxburgh Park man involved in a car crash north of Melbourne on Sunday was found bleeding from gunshot wounds sustained prior to the collision.

Two sedans collided at the corner of Cooper Street and Edgars Road in Epping just before midday on Sunday, police said.
A police spokesman said the driver of a Holden sedan, a 27-year-old Greenvale man, will be charged on summons after failing to stop at a traffic light on Cooper Street.
The Holden collided head-on with a Toyota sedan, which was travelling north on Edgars Road.
The passenger of the Holden, a 35-year-old Roxburgh Park man, suffered non life-threatening injuries and was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.
The spokesman said he had suffered gunshot wounds to his hand and leg, which were "believed to have been sustained at another location prior to this collision".
He said police were investigating how the man was shot.
The Toyota driver, an Epping man believed to be aged in his 40s, was taken to The Northern Hospital with minor injuries.
