Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the laundromat just after 4.30pm, after reports of smoke coming from the building.
Acting Inspector Neale Robinson said smoke was coming from a pile of clothes in an office, the clothes had been in a clothes dryer.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and a 52-year-old female occupant was tended to by paramedics.
Police have deemed the fire non-suspicious.
