Alfredton Baseball Club stormed its way to victory in the Geelong Baseball Association B grade grand final, defeating Bacchus Marsh in convincing fashion 14-2.

The Eagles brought its A-game to the finals series, accounting for Guild 10-0 in the third-versus-fourth elimination final. Before knocking off Corio 17-6 in the preliminary final and then defeated minor premier Bacchus Marsh with a dominant display.
The two sides had previously met four times throughout the season with Bacchus Marsh winning the last three to boast a 3-1 ledger. The matches had all been of close nature with a 9-4 round six victory to Bacchus Marsh surrounded by one-point results.
Alfredton came from third position after the home and away season to clinch the title.
The Alfredton B-reserve side didn’t fair as well, going down to minor premier Colac in a low-scoring grand final – 4-2. Alfredton had not beaten Colac since April, suffering three losses since, including a 7-4 semi-final loss.
