Despite being the dominant team for most of the season, the Lakers face a cut-throat outing after a shock qualifying final fade-out against Bacchus Marsh.
Webb told a BFL finals media conference on Wednesday that there were some players playing for personal pride and who after quiet performances needed to respond, and as a group the Lakers needed to bounce back.
“We have to respond. If we don’t respond, watching Redan and we know what Redan is capable of, we’ll be knocked out. That’s the challenge. We need to get back on the bike and play well this Sunday.
“There’s still an opportunity to progress.”
Redan coach Eammon Gill expects Lakers to be tough on the rebound.
“Lake Wendouree is a proud club and will be coming with everything.
“We’ll have to be ready to go right from the start.”
