Two Vic Country and two Vic Metro squads will play in twenty20 and one-day fixtures on September 19-22.
Jakob Tidyman (North Ballarat/Footscray-Edgewater), Harli Givvens (East Ballarat) and Bailey Van De Heuvel (Golden Point) are members of the “white” squad.
They join fellow Central Highlands region representatives Matt Underwood (Gisborne/Footscray-Edgewater), Tom Rogers (Gisborne/Melbourne Uni) and Jack Lalor (Bacchus Marsh/Northcote).
All six were members of the regional squad in the state under-18 final at the MCG last season.
East Ballarat’s Blake Thomson, who is a Victorian Bushrangers rookie, is not playing in the trials, but is eligible for Vic Country selection.
Central Highlands manager Campbell Waring said it was a brilliant effort to have such a strong regional representation.
