GEELONG has delisted ruckman Orren Stephenson after one year with the club.
The Cats’ signing of the Kangaroos’ Hamish McIntosh sealed the three-time North Ballarat premiership player.
Stephenson was the story of last year’s AFL national draft when picked up at 78 at the age of 29 years.
He made eight AFL appearances, and capped off the year playing in Geelong’s VFL premiership team.
Now 30, a bonus for Stephenson was that he was able to step up to the AFL without having to move his family out of Ballarat, where he also continued to work on a part-time basis with his long-standing employer.
