HBO and co-producer Warner Bros are remaining tight-lipped about set locations, but it is understood a number of locations throughout Clunes will be used.
Up to 100 Clunes locals are expected to be used as extras in the scene, which will revolve around a wedding at night.
In June it was announced the show, with a star cast including Liv Tyler,Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman and Christopher Eccleston, would be filmed in and around Melbourne in coming months.
Premier Daniel Andrews said the film location was a coup for Victoria that would bring $20 million of production expenditure and create more than 250 local jobs.

The show follows a small community as they deal with the aftermath of the disappearance of 140 million people – two per cent of the world's population – in a "Rapture-like event" that happened three years prior to the show's beginning.
The news that parts of the 10-episode series would be shot in Australia did not come as a surprise - however Victoria had been favoured as the prime choice.
Clunes has been a prime location for a number of local and international productions with Mad Max, Tomorrow When the War Began and Ned Kelly.
It also appears in the ABC television series' Queen Kat, Carmel & St Jude, Something in the Air and Halifax.
Liv Tyler is one Hollywood’s bigger stars, having appeared in all the Lord of the Rings films, Armageddon and Jersey Girls among others.
Her co-star is American actor, director, and screenwriter Justin Theroux, who is married to Jennifer Aniston.

Mayor Neil Newitt has previously said the town’s untouched main street, which does not have a major highway running through it, makes it the perfect place to film.
“The powerpoles are underground so it could be from any era,” Cr Newitt said.
”It’s fantastic that production occur in Clunes, but Clunes is also a working town so it great to see producers working with locals.”
