Federation University Australia raised more than $25,000 for charity though July and August. A large portion of this was for the annual 3BA Christmas in July Appeal, boosted by FedUni’s Christmas luncheon at the Mount Helen campus.
The Christmas in July Appeal supports four major welfare organisations in the Salvation Army, Anglicare, Uniting Care and St Vincent de Paul Society.
FedUni’s Gippsland campus also got into the spirit, focusing its fundraising efforts to aupport Uniting Care Gippsland.
Fundraising efforts also included student community dinners, hosted by our residential student leaders.
“The University community can be extremely proud of the contribution we make each year,” FedUni campus life director Colin Marshall said.
Christmas in July appeal director Peter Caligari has maintained through the campaign the appeal was getting bigger each year but there was increasing demand on Ballarat welfare agencies.
