But those narrow defeats in the 2012 and 2013 senior grand finals have left a bitter taste in the mouths of many at the club.
Turner admits he still casts his mind back to those losses and what it would be like to finally obtain the ultimate reward.
"We are very desperate," he said.
"I spend a lot of hours thinking about it. You know how hard it is to win one.
“I’m confident in our team that we have at the moment that we can match it with anyone.”
Now a co-captain of the club alongside fellow midfielder Ned Gilbert, Turner is widely regarded within the Central Highlands league ranks.
His 2016 season has been hampered by concussion – which has seen him seek specialist advice for potential ongoing issues – but a good run of matches sees him threaten to be one of the real match winners on Saturday afternoon.
