AFL draft: North Ballarat Rebel to play for Port

ANOTHER pre-draft deal will see North Ballarat Rebel Jake Neade play with the Port Adelaide Football Club in the 2013 season.

The St Patrick's College student's offer was made official this afternoon, with Port giving up their number 29 draft pick to take him on along with GWS defender Jack Hombsch.

Neade, from Elliot in the Northern Territory, has had an impressive year, receiving the Rebel's Outstanding Achievement Award 2012 and earning All-Australian selection playing for the Northern Territory in the AFL under-18 national championships.

The small forward also was one of six Rebels boys to participate in the National Draft Combine, ranking in the top five in both the 10-minute barrier run and the goal kicking test.

The news comes exactly two weeks after St Patrick's and Rebels teammate Dominic Barry was offered a place with Melbourne Football Club.

The AFL draft will see more players signed with AFL clubs on November 22.
