Exam is a four letter word to students coming to the end of their Year 12 studies and the thought of going on to university after that can only add to the distractions. At FedUni we want to help with those impending exams so they become less of a concern, and help with that transition to university so it is less daunting.
We know that a major contributor to Year 12 students struggling in their first year of study at university is the lack of awareness of what to expect and how to manage it. As part of FedUni’s considerable support for their students we are offering a free Study Skills Day that will prepare students for the exciting yet challenging times ahead.
“We know that Year 11 and 12 VCE can be a stressful, busy time for students,” says Jamie McDonald, director of marketing, advancement and community engagement at FedUni. “The VCE Study Skills Day provides some practical techniques to manage the pressure of VCE in the lead-up to exams.
“Working alongside FedUni staff, the day incorporates study techniques, stress management strategies and English exam revision, plus preparation for study at university. This really gives students the opportunity to maximise their potential now and into the future.”
