A person was struck and killed by a train on Friday, forcing the partial closure of a key railway line and causing peak-hour disruptions.

Rail operator Metro suspended a section of the Pakenham line, and brought in replacement buses to run between Dandenong and Berwick after the death.
The fatal collision, which happened on the tracks near Narre Warren station, also forced V/Line to run buses on its Traralgon services.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 2.50pm.
Police said the death was not suspicious.
Metro announced soon after 7pm than train services had resumed.
