Play time just got a whole lot better in and around Ballarat.

Many youngsters are set to welcome the warmer months with new outdoor facilities at a number of child care centres operated by the City of Ballarat.

In 2015-16, council invested a total of $120,000 into improving outdoor play facilities at a number of its operations.

Child care centres in Ballarat central, Wendouree and Buninyong were among those to receive exciting makeovers.

Occasional Child Care Centre was one of the facilities to get an overhaul, with new surfaces and levels for the little ones to explore and a fresh garden part of the works.

Meanwhile, babies and toddlers that attend the Wendouree Children’s Centre are enjoying a brand new playground.
