FORMER North Ballarat premiership ruckman Orren Stephenson is looking for a new AFL club after he was delisted by Geelong.
The 30-year-old was told he was no longer required by the Cats after they had picked up ex-North Melbourne ruckman Hamish McIntosh during the AFL trade period last
week.
Stephenson was the fairytale of last year’s AFL draft after being selected with pick 78 by the then reigning premier Geelong.
Prior to that he was a key part of the North Ballarat Roosters’ three consecutive VFL premierships in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
“The Big O” played eight AFL matches for the Cats.
He is the only player delisted by Geelong to date this year, with Matthew Scarlett, David Wojcinksi and Simon Hogan retired.
Shannon Byrnes elected to join Melbourne as an unrestricted free agent.
