Police car struck while intercepting car with stolen plates

A car with stolen plates evaded police and struck a Highway Patrol vehicle and another car in Delacombe, police say. 

Police attempted to intercept a car with stolen number plates at 4.50pm on La Trobe Street on Monday.

The male driver of the aqua coloured Holden hatchback did not stop and took off. He then struck the police car and another car.

Police pursued Holden hatchback but ended the pursuit shortly afterwards. 

No one was injured during the incident.

Police are investigating and are keen to speak to anyone with knowledge of the car and its driver.
