In the lead up to the election a number of candidate forums will be held.
Residents are invited to meet the candidates on Sunday October 2 at forum held by Ballarat Residents and Ratepayers Association and the Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka.
The forum is free and open to all members of the public. It will be held at the Town Hall, Sturt Street, from 2 to 4pm.
Commerce Ballarat is holding a members only session from 5 to 7pm at Craig’s Royal Hotel, Lydiard Street South on Thursday October 6. A forum will also be hosted by the Buninyong Community Association for south ward candidates only from 7.30pm on October 6.
Victorian Electoral Commission postal vote packs will be sent out between October 4 and 6.
Voters will have until close of business on October 21 to get their postal vote returns in the mail and postmarked.
The election will be held on Saturday October 22.
