Distinguished Japanese violinist Shozo Matsumoto will return to Ballarat for the first time in two years.

Mr Matsumoto teaches violin in Kobe and at summer schools and world conventions. He is a past director of the All Japan Teacher's Conference and has chaired a number of national music committees.
He will be joined by British musician Lisa Grosman and Ballarat pianist and composer, Calvin Bowman, to present Voyage from Bach to Britten, a concert celebrating three centuries of music by Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Faure and Brahms.
While in Ballarat, Mr Matsumoto will also deliver a violin workshop at Damascus College.
