Maloney is set to move to Port Fairy next year in what is an untimely departure.
The WestVic women’s outfit was rewarded with promotion following a strong season in 2016 which saw it make the grand final before going down 3-1 to powerhouse Old Xaverians.
Maloney has long been a key component of the WestVic side, consistently finding the back of the net for her team.
She was the leading goal-scorer in the Victorian League two competition. Registering 29 goals from her 21 outings, scoring 15 more goals than the next most productive player.
Coach Michael Poulton said the club would look to recruit some experienced players, which was made easier given it has now moved up to Victorian League one.
