One wonders what minimum/maximum times for advertisements are permitted on commercial TV and why programs are actually being inserted between ads, which must surely be to meet regulatory requirements.
This seems particularly evident on the secondary channels, where viewing is regularly interrupted at crucial times to give us five minutes of ads, which spoils the continuity of a show.
At least we can mute the sound during ads, which is now a mandatory feature of our viewing!
Thank heavens for (non-commercial) ABC TV!
