A TEENAGE woman sustained upper body injuries that required emergency medical treatment during an incident at a Daylesford venue that police are investigating.

Daylesford police Senior Sergeant Lesley Glenn said police were called to the Main Road, Hepburn venue around 1.30am on Sunday after reports of an altercation involving up to eight people. When police arrived the brawl had subsided, but a young woman was injured.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman confirmed the 18-year-old was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition.
The young woman’s upper body injuries –including cuts – were treated and the woman was discharged.
The Courier has been told the woman is receiving further treatment. Senior Sergeant Glenn said police were investigating how the woman sustained her injuries and CCTV footage was being observed. She said licensing inquiries were being made. CrimeStoppers 1800 333 000.
