Victorian Regional Development Minister Jaala Pulford inspected progress on the site Thursday morning, reassuring Bulldogs fans who turned out that all was on track for their team’s game-day arrival.
“Nicholson Construction and the City of Ballarat have done a terrific job,” Ms Pulford said. “The time frame to host AFL games here was always going to be really ambitious.”
Ms Pulford said 74 per cent of stadium construction material, including the steel posts now in place for the new grandstand, have been locally sourced.
The AFL fixture, featuring Ballarat for the first time, will be released next month.
