The shop will be open from 2pm to 6pm on Tuesday at Federation University’s SMB campus in Lydiard Street South.
A range of free personal items and support services will be on offer for people in need, including clothes, hygiene kits, towels, blankets, haircuts, hot meals and showers.
Staff from a wide range of community services will also be available to chat with people about the different support options available to them.
The shop will be open to anyone from the Ballarat community who may be struggling financially, requires welfare support or who is facing homelessness.
Federation University would like to hear from any community members who are available to help set up, serve meals, package up hygiene kits or have items to donate, such as soap, towels, clothes, blankets or other hygiene items.
If you are able to help out, please email student.leadership@federation.edu.au with details of the support you are able to offer.
