THE Doodt family should consider getting a lottery ticket after their heifers delivered sets of twins and triplets on the same day.
Robert Doodt and his father Bob were surprised when one of the heifers had twins on Sunday morning, October 14.
But they were gob smacked when another heifer delivered triplets that afternoon, which Mr Doodt said was almost unheard of.
“We were shocked because we had the twins in the morning, then went up in the evening and there were three, so we thought she had a third one,” he said. “But then we saw the other two in the paddock.
“I reckon I had more chance of winning Tattslotto,”he said.
“Everyone we spoke to, no one’s ever heard of it.”
Mr Doodt said the special deliveries came during a 12-day period on their Mount Rowan farm where 21 calves were born, all of which are healthy.
“We’ve seen the triplets all drinking at the same time, and the twins are the same,” he said.
“They’re all fit as a fiddle.”
