It was the second consecutive weekend the region was hit by destructive winds, keeping Ballarat SES crews busy with fallen trees and building damage.
Volunteers attended 18 incidents over the previous two days, including rescuing a dog from a Buninyong drain.
Following the weekend’s incidents, SES have issued a message to community members urging them to drive to the road conditions, secure loose objects during windy conditions and avoid parking vehicles under trees.
Given the recent windy conditions, property owners who have damaged or concerning trees on their property, should consider having them properly assessed by a professional contractor.
