The first weekend out for the season saw Trentham A Reserve met arch rivals Bakers Creek for a T20 at Trentham Reserve.

Barkers won the toss and elected to bat and the opening partnership quickly saw them with 39 runs a piece, until young Tom Boyer took the first wicket and slowed down the score. Barkers finished their 20 overs with 129 runs, with best Trentham bowlers being A Prewett 3/17, T Boyer 3/24 and E Cooper 2/23.
Trentham then went in to bat with openers S Hewitt (27) and D Thomas, who soon left with one run. But then H. Forgo (21) came in, followed by J Sartori (17). Unfortunately Trentham finished with the score of 94.
The B Grade team played Castlemaine United. United’s captain dug in with 50no and JW Moran made 27, but they were out for 109 at the end of there 20 overs. Trentham’s coach John McKenry made 29 runs. On the last ball for the game, which looked like ending in a tie, Michael Chew smashed a four to win.
This Saturday Trentham A Reserve face Newstead at Newstead and B Grade has a home game against Harcourt.
