Sebastopol’s Jenny Harman is the Ballarat District Bowls Division women’s over-60 singles champion for the second year on end.
She defeated Sally McCracken, of Central Wendouree, in the final – having to deal with strong wind, frequent showers and cold conditions.
McCracken had to work hard to get through her semi-final against Jenny Shepherd from Webbcona.
They were all tied up on eight, 11 and then 20 shots before McCracken drew a shot on the last end to advance.
Central Wendouree's Elizabeth Kierce pressed Harman early.
Kierce led 11-8 after 14 ends before Harman hit her straps to win five of the last six ends.
ENTRIES close for the BDBD state triples and fours on Sunday, November 6.
