Ballarat suburbs experienced a strong start in the spring housing markets, but properties still spend around two months up for sale.

The Real Estate Institute of Victoria September figures showed Golden Point properties spent a median of 39 days on the market, down eight days from August.
Lake Wendouree and Miners Rest both also saw drops, moving to medians of 45 days and 51 days respectively.
But the properties in most Ballarat suburbs spent upwards of 50 days on the markets, with some taking longer than two months.
This compares favourably with Bendigo houses, most of which spend more than 70 days up for sale. Some suburbs in Bendigo took longer than three months to sell by median.
But Melbourne properties are much faster selling, with a median of 32 days on the market.
Lake Gardens is the fastest-selling suburb, with a median of 36 days, closely followed by Ballarat Central at 40 days.
The suburb with the slowest mark is Delacombe, where properties are spending 78 days on the market.
On the whole, properties in regional Victoria had a median of 56 days on the market.
