X-Factor winner to be supported by local singer

Run Ballarat will give talent quest winner Kailee O’Beirne the biggest audience of her performing career so far.

The 19-year-old musician will support X-Factor winner Cyrus Villanueva during the event on Sunday. O’Beirne, who moved from Horsham to Ballarat to study nursing, garnered almost a thousand votes for her cover of Brother by Australia singer-songwriter Matt Corby.

“I really didn't expect to actually win, I thought it was to huge of an opportunity but the amount of people who got behind me was just incredible, I didn't realise I had so many people behind me in Horsham and Ballarat.

“Sunday will be the biggest crowd that I've performed in front of so I'm definitely more nervous than I normally would be but I know it's going to be fantastic so that's helped me get through the nerves.”
