Adam and Munir El Houli will fill roles at each end of the ground.
Adam, 30, is a key defender from WRFL powerhouse Deer Park, where he was a teammate of new Melton South joint coach Brendan Fevola, while versatile forward/midfielder Munir, 22, is moving from WRFL division three premier Newport.
This will be the first time the brothers have played together.
Panthers joint coach Melton Sean Triplett said as well as adding depth, the El Houlis continued the theme of introducing players who had experienced success.
Triplett said Adam El Houli had a strong football background, having played with Coburg in the VFL before an extended time with Aberfeldie in the Essendon District Football League.
He played in Aberfeldie’s premier division premiership in 2015 before switching to Deer Park in WRFL division one this year.
He was selected in the initial WRFL representative squad, although his season did finish on a disappointing note when he missed playing for Deer Park in the grand final.
Fevola said in going head-to-head in intra-club match-ups he had found El Houli as good as any defender he had played on.
Munir El Houli has played all his football in the WRFL, progressing through junior ranks at Spotswood and Altona before going to West Footscray in 2014 and Newport this year under former Ballan coach Mark Williams.
He kicked 72 goals for West Footscray in WRFL division two in 2015.
Triplett said the Panthers were rapt with the way their list was coming together.
The El Houlis, who are cousins of Richmond defender Bashar Houli, add to other recruits Mark Lynch from Aberfeldie and Shannon Broadbent, who has also played with Deer Park and in the EDFL, as well as Fevola.
Lynch played with Adam El Houli at Aberfeldie.
Melton South did not win a game this year.
The Panthers appointed Fevola and Triplett after the departure of coach Mark Pedersen.
MEANWHILE, applications close on Friday for Sunbury’s senior coaching job.
The Lions are seeking a replacement for Rick Horwood, who stepped aside after their grand final loss to Bacchus Marsh.
Seven BFL clubs will have new senior coaches next season.
