In another sign of Canberra United's emerging stars, three of the team's players have been selected in the 23-player squad for the upcoming under-19 Asian Football Confederation qualifiers.

The youngest player in Canberra united history, Grace Maher, as well as Nickoletta Flannery and goalkeeper Georgia Boric will travel with the Young Matildas side to play in the tournament in China next month.
Coach Gary van Egmond said the side will need to respect their matches against the Northern Mariana Islands and Jordan.
"The players know the privilege of what it means to represent your country and they are determined to put their best foot forward. I'm confident that with the talent we have in this group we can perform well and be successful," van Egmond said.
The top team of the round robin matches advances to the Asian Cup tournament scheduled for October 2017, which doubles as the qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup 2018.
The three will then be in a race against the clock to be available for Canberra United's opening game of the W-League season against Melbourne City November 12.
