The Sovereigns played two games in Ballarat in 2016 but Mundy admits it is challenging to develop a strong supporter base in the region while playing just two games in the town.
It is also unable to train in Ballarat given a lack of court availability.
But the club is in discussions with Netball Victoria towards gaining more home games and is hopeful of an increase in 2017.
“It’s a part of the conversation that we want to continue with Netball Victoria, we’re keen to see a greater number of home games played,” Mundy said.
“Any increase on two would be great. Certainly three represents a minor increase but from our perspective any increase on what we’ve currently got would be welcomed. We’d love to move to a more traditional home and away season.”
Sunday saw the third and final Sovereigns trial-day with the teams expected to be selected in two weeks.
