The symposium will showcase health and medical research being carried out in Ballarat and beyond by BHS staff, local health care professionals and academics with BHS links.
Symposium convenor Dr Susan Shea said the event was free and everyone was welcome to come along and hear from the many speakers.
“This year we will have a diverse range of presentations on many interesting topics including dementia care in hospitals, the role of immune cells in ovarian cancer, hospital air quality monitoring, radiation therapy alignments and techniques for teaching medical students,” Dr Shea said.
The symposium, held at the BHS Education Course Centre, begins with lunch and registrations from 12.30pm on Thursday and presentations from 1pm to 4.30pm. Enter the hospital via Sturt Street or the Mair Street car park and follow the signs to the centre.
