She rebounded from an indifferent opening day with the equal best score of the second round to jump 17 places and tie for sixth - well inside the cut of 16 for the quarter finals on Wednesday.
Pascoe was under pressure after beginning her championship with a 13-over 85 - eight shots off the pace and outside the top 20.
However, she improved on that effort with an 80 - only matched by Robyn Puckett from Noosa Springs at the top of the leaderboard - for a two-round total of 165 to give her five shots to spare.
Pascoe was the biggest mover among contenders on the second day.
Puckett and Cobden's Deborah Rix, who shared the lead after the first round, were the best performed over the 36 holes with 15-over 159.
The top 16 now progress to the quarter finals, with the first phase of these to be decided on Wednesday.
