The Victorian Electoral Commission is currently counting votes in council elections across the state. A provisional result for Ballarat is expected by early evening.
Provisional results for Hepburn, Pyrenees and Central Goldfields have already been announced, with Golden Plains expected during the day.
Provisional results for three of four wards in Moorabool have been announced.
The results for all six councils will be included on this page as they become available.

Ballarat
Counting is continuing. There are unconfirmed reports from the tally room that North Ward candidates John Philips, Vicki Coltman, Daniel Moloney and Amy Johnson are early leaders.
In the Central Ward, Samantha McIntosh, John Burt and Belinda Coates are also unconfirmed early leaders.
With only four current councillors standing for re-election, Ballarat will have a minimum of five new faces on the council.
Hepburn
Hepburn Shire will likely have three new councillors, Kate Redwood, Pierre Niclas and Greg May. Neil Newitt, Don Henderson, Bill McClenaghan and current mayor Sebastian Klein look set to return for another term.

Moorabool
Moorabool Shire is still up in the air with counting still underway in the largest ward East Moorabool, which has four vacancies. Paul Tatchell looks set to be a new councillor in Central Moorabool, while Tom Sullivan and Pat Toohey will return for another term in their wards after running unopposed.

Central Goldfields
Central Goldfields Shire will likely have two new councillors, John Van Beveren, standing in the Paddys Ranges Ward (formerly Daisy Hill), and Wendy McIvor in Maryborough. John Smith, Geoff Lovett, Barry Rinaldi, Ian Robertson and current mayor Paula Nixon are all set to return for another term.
