Bourke was part of the Australian team that finished second in the senior teams division of the World Deaf Golf Championships.
The 51-year-old, from Alfredton, played a key role in the Aussie team of four which finished second to the United States of America quartet.
Bourke played four rounds at the championships, returning scores of 89, 92, 87 and 98 as Australia finished 28 shots behind the USA. Scotland was third, two shots further back from the team in green and gold.
The Ballarat player’s first and third rounds proved to be the best Australian senior score for that respective day.
Bourke’s personal results – he finished on +78 across the four rounds – saw him tied for 10th with fellow countryman Paul Hammond in the senior singles event. Scotland’s Mark Lothian, who finished on +46, won that category.
The 11th staging of the World Deaf Golf Championships were held at the Royal Golf Club in Copenhagen, Denmark.
