Despite securing the most first preference votes in the East Moorabool ward (1667 at 15.52 per cent in total), the last serving mayor was overlooked for election by Tonia Dudzik and David Edwards as well as new faces Jarrod Bingham and John Keough.
Existing councillor Pat Toohey was re-elected in the Woodlands ward after securing 56.01 per cent of first preference votes over Lawry Borgelt, while deputy mayor Paul Tatchell (pictured) comfortably retained his seat in the Central Moorabool ward, securing 1641 first preference votes to John Kowarsky’s 1012.
Tom Sullivan was re-elected in the West Moorabool ward after running unopposed.
