Why is it that people these days feel entitled to government handouts when making personal choices such as having babies?
Surely having a family, and deciding how many children to have, is a personal choice, and part of the equation should be the cost of bringing up those children. Think back about 30 years when wages and prices may have been lower but interest rates were up about 18 per cent. There was no baby bonus then! Handouts cost money. That money comes from the taxes we pay
