Mt Clear paceman Pat Graham, Wendouree wicketkeeper Hugh Knight, East Sunbury’s Lachlan Brne and Will Collicoat from Colts Phelans will debut for the Highlanders in the state carnival from January 9.
Graham has joined Mt Clear in the Ballarat Cricket Association from Carranballac this season, while Knight is playing with Caulfield in Victorian sub-district seconds.
Top order batsman Zac Jenkins (Ballarat-Redan) is the other BCA representative in the team.
The under-18s include three players – Tom Rogers, Jack Lalor and Matt Milne – from the Vic Country under-19 squad to play in the nationals.
Central Highlands has also released its under-16 and under-14 male squads.
Regional manager Campbell Waring says he once again expects the squads to perform well.
“We think we once again have three strong squads to work with.
“We will now work with each of the selected squads to define roles and bond as a group,” he said.
