As part of a series of lectures in Ballarat on Wednesday, the member of the House of Lords told emerging researchers coming from an unconventional background gave them the opportunity to see their work in a fresh way, and working cooperatively was a strength.
“Never let people tell you you’re not qualified to do something – unless it’s surgery, in which case you might need some training,” said Lady Greenfield.
Her research includes how the brain generates consciousness and approaches to diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
