Ballarat Roller Derby League Rat Pack will travel to Moe to defend its Statewide Stampede title when it takes on Diamond Valley Roller Derby Club. The Rat Pack triumphed in last year’s inaugural event and enter Saturday’s final in stellar form with eight consecutive wins. BRDL is averaging an impressive 213 points a game and defeated Diamond Valley by 43 points when it last met. Ballarat Roller Derby League media liaison Trish Kekewick said the side entered with confidence.

“We’re a strong team, but we also acknowledge we’re coming up against another strong team,” Kekewick said.
Roller derby is played over two 30-minute halves and points are scored by the jammer getting past opposition blockers.
