A man who was struck by a tractor in Bonshaw is in a serious but stable condition at the Royal Melbourne Hospital
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman confirmed the man was flown by Air Ambulance to the Royal Melbourne hospital this morning after suffering critical head injuries.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene of the accident, believed to be on a private property, on Schreenans Road, just after 10am.
Police are investigating the cause but say the tractor was not being driven at the time of the incident. It is believed the man was working on the tractor at the time.
Worksafe has been notified.

A man in his 70s is expected to be flown to Melbourne by Air Ambulance after he was reportedly struck by tractor in Bonshaw.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene of the accident, believed to be on a private property, on Schreenans Road, just after 10am.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics were called to reports of man sustaining head injuries after being hit by a tractor.
Paramedics are treating the man at the scene. He is in a serious condition.
The Air Ambulance is en route.
