Short joins all-rounder Evan Gulbis as a chance to make their first-class debuts in Hobart against Tasmania on December 5. The announcement comes off the back of some brilliant form that has seen the talented batsmen make 176 for Victorian Premier Cricket League side Northcote as well as strong showings in the Cricket Australia Futures League and tour match side against South Africa. The call-up would see Short line-up alongside the likes of Peter Handscomb, who will skipper the side, Cameron White and Marcus Stoinis in an undefeated Victorian side.
