Brennan has taken on the newly created role of women’s football director at the club, which will launch its new three-tier program at Alfredton Reserve on Monday at 5pm.
The Swans plan to enter teams in the under-13, youth (under-18) and expanded senior competitions next season.
Ballarat had a team in the inaugural Ballarat Football League youth girls competition in 2011, but was not part of the competition this year.
The Ballarat-based Brennan has had a major hands-on role with the formation of the new AFLW competition in his full-time role with the AFL as an education talent project manager.
Robert Simmonds has been appointed youth girls coach, while Karl Drever will oversee the under-13 team. A senior women’s coach is still to be confirmed
