Red Caps dismissed the Mounties for just 53 runs before reeling in the measly total with six wickets to spare.
Mt Clear entered the round on top of the ladder, but the third-placed Wendouree reminded the competition it is a force to be reckoned with. It ended the day at 5-82.
In other round five action, an unbeaten century from Darley’s Lachlan Herring helped his side to finish its 80 overs at 8-291 against Brown Hill.
Herring carried the bat through the innings and ended the day on 134.
Napoleons-Sebastopol also produced a strong total against North Ballarat, posting 264 from its 77.3 overs. A knock of 71 from Liam Rigby helped set up the impressive score in what was a much-needed return to form for the side after last week’s batting debacle.
Golden Point is in the box seat against Ballarat-Redan. It dismissed The Combine for 118, Simon Ogilvie leading the attack with 4-18, and ended the day at 3-52.
