The wedding plans of Sweet Redemption's part owner Ashley Hill won't be changing because of a clash with the Villiers Stakes, even after her win in the Festival Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.

Hill's partner Rheannon was quick to ask "what do we do with the wedding?" as Sweet Redemption returned from an all-the-way win.

"I think we are both going to be late, it depends on when the race is," Hill said. "It's all planned, we didn't think she would be racing that day."

It is a good problem to have for the happy couple with Sweet Redemption, which had been runner-up in the Summoned Stakes and
Goulburn Cup at her last two outings.

She got her own way in the Festival Stakes, no doubt helped by the raceday scratching of Religify because of lameness. Brenton Avdulla judged the speed to suit himself and had a short neck to spare from Hazzabeel on the line with Red Excitement a half-length away third.

"Everything worked out perfectly. Obviously with Religify coming out, I was confident I could get complete control," Avdulla said. "She's been racing well and Gai and Adrian have done a tremendous job travelling her. She really sprinted off the bend for me and when she got to the 100 she lifted again."

Adrian Bott, who trains in partnership with Gai Waterhouse, said it was good to see Sweet Redemption get a group 3 win, which she earned. The Villiers Stakes will be her next target in two weeks before heading to the Magic Millions for the fillies and mares $1 million race.

"She just shows up every time," Bott said. "It was a nice scratching to see looking at the maps this morning.

"It allowed her to roll along at a good tempo and Brenton was able to rate her perfectly to suit him.

"She's thriving. She does best in work and she's a happy and healthy filly at the moment.

"She is a horse that loves being in the stable and has just got better with all the travel and has deserved that win."

Michael Dee only got clear late on Hazzabeel and it looks like being suited at the Randwick 1600m.

"Drawing [barrier] one wasn't ideal because he needs to be out and working into it early. If we were able to do that he almost wins,"
Dee said.

Meanwhile, the Christmas Cup at Kilcoy has been abandoned after a three-horse fall with their jockeys all taken to hospital. The race
was the feature on a gallops-harness meeting on Saturday at Kilcoy, 80km north-west of Brisbane.

Chief steward Allan Reardon had spoken with staff at Kilcoy and was told jockeys Gary Geran (Elegies), Jordan Mallyon (The Golden Pig) and Corey Bayliss (Royaltown Road) were injured when their mounts fell.

The fall occurred as the field was entering the home straight for the first time in the 1900m race.

"They were conscious but in pain. They were taken to hospital for observation and further treatment," Reardon said.

"There apparently was no option but to abandon the race."
