The crucial match-up went right down to the final ends as Webbcona came out on top with a 101 shots to 100 victory.
Victoria, who is looking to stay in touch with the top four, made it clear during the week that this was a “must-win” match, but Webbcona denied it the points and took another strong step towards cementing its spot in the top four.
Webbcona enjoyed a 15-shot buffer throughout stages of the match, but trailed by four shots at afternoon tea.
Skipper Brett Mahoney said there were some crucial shots in the latter stages, none more so than fellow skipper Wayne Pattie’s final shot.
On the last end of Pattie’s rink, which drew 26-26, Pattie came to the plate staring down the barrel of a six-shot deficit, but he managed to draw second shot to cut the deficit to one.
Mahoney said it was an extremely valuable win and one that could prove pivotal come seasons end. Webbcona is now third and 19 shots clear of sixth-placed Bareena as the top four edges clear.
"It came down to shot for shot in the final ends,” Mahoney said.
"At the end of the day it came down to the dying minutes of the game for us to come away with the win and from a team point of view, to beat Victoria at Victoria is a great achievement because it's always tough there.
"That's what it comes down to, you've got to look at the overall point of view as a team. You need to hold onto your shots or if not only go one down - you can't afford to drop numbers and that's what we managed to do when they came firing back at us those last 10 ends.
"That gives us a bit more breathing space in the four now.”
Webbcona has a great opportunity to turn into 2017 in a great position. It takes on the winless Buninyong next week before its last game prior to the Christmas break is against Lara – which has the inform side eyeing a commanding position in the coming weeks.

- Webbcona skipper Brett Mahoney
"It puts us in good stead before the break. We're holding onto our spot in the top four so we're going really well.
"You're always trying to do that before the Christmas break. It's best if you win a few early to try and set you up for the season and we're really jelling well as a team this year and it's great to see.
"There's a lot of inform players in our side and every year our team’s getting more experienced with the young ones.
"The compatibility, everyone's playing well for each other, we're a real good team package.”
Rob Barton held his own after filling the void left by Matt Blackburn while Mahoney said that recruits Anne Draffen and Chris Steenhuis had fitted in seamlessly to the Webbcona premier outfit.
