The Ballarat Cricket Association combination defeated Gisborne Green by four wickets in the Central Highlands region under-17 final at Gisborne on Sunday.
East Ballarat’s Jai McHenry skippered Ballarat and also top scored with 40 runs in pursuit of Gisborne’s 78.
McHenry led a recovery after the BCA was in trouble at 3-22 and then 5-47 before reaching 6-80.
Earlier Riley Hucker led the downfall of Gisborne with the ball. The Golden Point paceman claimed a match-winning 4-21 off 10 overs - his best figures of the competition.
Fraser Hunt took 1-3 off six overs in a spell featuring five maidens, Ben Loughnane 1-5 and Riley Coppick 1-22.
Brendan Everard coached Ballarat Gold with Liam Rigby as team manager.
