The Ballarat Olympian has been named in 42-strong “Team Australia” squad. This will be reduced to 24.
The Nitro Series, which will feature legendary world and Olympic sprinting champion Usain Bolt, will include six teams.
Meanwhile, Eureka Athletic Club members Jack Davies and Stewart McSweyn will contest the Zatopek:10 over 10,000m at Albert Park on Thursday night. Davies will act as a pacemaker.
Victoria Mitchell is engaged in the women’s 10,000m, and Wendouree youngster Harry Sharp in the under-15 1500m.
